Hey you two! I have a mission for you to accomplish! For the dance we need some live music, and seeing as I have a little brother and his best friend that are some of my favourite musicians, I figured I could just ask you! Jaxon really liked the idea, too.
Obviously we'd just need some stuff that people could enjoy, some slow songs that they could maybe dance to? I know you two have them up your sleeve. And not all of them have to be songs that they can dance to, Daddy thinks that it would be a good idea if they are just songs that they can "rock out to in front of the stage.
What do you two say? We're going to ask Scorpius Malfoy to do some stuff as well.

Jaxon and I were wondering it you'd be willing to perform at the dance? I've asked Gideon and Logan to do so as well, and I figure that at least with them you'll either have two guitars on hand or a guitar and a piano.
It would be brill if you could! You've got a really good voice and a lot of 'dance-worthy' music, as Jaxon said.

HEADS UP, EVERYONE!
I know that everyone is busy with their first week of term, as well as Quidditch tryouts everywhere and practices as well, but I come with news that will add even more excitement for you guys! Jaxon and I have decided when the first dance will be! And while there will be fliers posted around the school, I am letting you know right now what to expect and how it will work.
As a way of promoting inter-House relations, as well as creating a way for you guys to relax after long weeks of classes and homework, we have already planned on five different dances/balls.
DETAILS;
What; Welcome Back - GIRLS CHOICE
When; Saturday, September 19th, 2019 8:30 PM
Where; The Great Hall
Who; All years are invited
Dress; Dress robes for the boys, dresses/gowns for the girls.
WARNING: If your dress is inappropriate, or your robes are incorrectly worn you will not be let into the Great Hall the night of!
Please, please, please make sure that you are dressed appropriately for the event so that no one has to be sent back to their Common Rooms and misses out on the fun. ALSO, BOYS, if a girl asks you to the dance you are not required to say yes, but we prefer that you do - if we hear that feelings are being hurt over this it will be called off. Dates are not required, and therefore anyone is welcome to come single or even as a group of friends!
Make sure you are there!

Dad seriously needs to go and see Teddy. I think that he's delaying simply to torture me some more. I mean, honestly! The guy has worked hard to get a place of his own and find a good job... isn't that good enough? He told him that he was "riding other peoples' coattails" and that he needed "to make a life for himself before he got so serious with me". Even though he knows perfectly well that we've been pretty serious for quite some time now. That was just the first time that they saw evidence of serious behavior. And it's NOT what you think, people. We were simply snogging. That's all. I understand he's just looking out for his baby girl, but c'mon!
So that's the first thing on my mind; second is that I got HeadGirl! Which I'm really excited about because anything would be better than who was Head last year I have a lot of ideas. Like dances. We need dances.
And of course, for those of you who haven't heard yet, Jaxon got HeadBoy. But of course he's neglected to update his journal, the lazy bum. I swear if you are lazy this year, Jax, I'm not helping you with your homework!
